RACE NIGHT UPDATE
The Club’s traditional Race Night proved to be another financial success for the Club, raising £420.50 for the club.
Attendance on the night was modest, to say the least, with only 7 club members present However, thanks to family members and friends, those who were there thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The main contributors to the financial success were the number of sponsors attracted and the number of horses sold. Our Chairman, Jeevan can claim much credit for his efforts in raising sufficient interest to attract nine outside sponsors in all. So all the races, including the auction Race were covered. Apart from the outside agencies in the community, our own club supplied a couple of race sponsors. Many thanks to Martin Curtice and the Club Veterans for their continued support in this way.
In all, 80 horses were sold and that is due to this continued support that helped to swell the final total.
Some generous raffle prizes were donated. Many thanks to all who donated prizes.
The Club’s thanks also go to our new presenters, Adam and his wife, who guided us through the evening’s proceedings.
So many thanks again to all who supported our Race Night in whatever way they did. Race sponsors, horse buyers, raffle prize donors and those who attended on the night.
I am sure our Treasurer will be happy enough at the final amount raised for the Club
