CoBHC M1s travelled away to Olton in what would be the first of two games within the Top 3 of the league. CoB started off brightly with chances going amiss, the visitors looking the better team. As the half continued, the hosts grew into the game and in one of their few attacks, managed to get the opener. CoB seemed to lose shape and their heads with a few late tackles and poor marking. Out of position at left-back, Jordan continued to impress keeping attacks at bay with David following suit at right back. The midfield of Zach, Alex, Scott and Jeevan was often congested and offered little when Olton sat tight.
Second half and a different story, the visitors now playing a little more to their previous standards, passing well, making runs and combinations. Olton rarely threatened as CoB took up players and man marked. Jeevan won the ball in his own half after an Olton mistake and ran the length of the pitch, only to cross it to Noor who nudged the ball below the keeper and got the equaliser. CoB continued to press with Scott playing a lovely ball into the circle, with Zach tapping it cleverly behind the keeper bit it hit the post and sailed wide. Kyle too had a chance late on but the keeper was equal to it.
Next week CoB host Barford Tigers who lead the group by 2 points
