CoB Men’s 2ndXI 3-0 Old Wulfrunians Men’s 4s

CoB 2nds welcomed back some returning players and included Jeevan who had just finished umpiring the CoB Men’s 1stXI.
CoB settled into some promising attacking play inspired by some good team-work. An attacking move saw Jeevan open the team’s score. This was soon followed by more good work by Stan who crashed in the team’s second. The home team were enjoying most of the possession, whilst the visitors were unable to really get into the game.
A strong team performance saw the team head into a comfortable position at the break.
The second half largely saw much of the same. Good early chances were created and Jeevan saw a great effort just centimetres wide.
All of CoB’s youngsters were showing excellent promise. As more chances came and went it looked as if that was it in terms of scoring. However, CoB were not quite done yet. A short corner was earned and Stan’s initial shot was saved, only for the rebound to present Jeevan with a simple tap-in and seal a good win for the team – complete with a clean sheet.
Next week the team is away to Sutton Coldfield.
