TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS

I would like to draw your attention to the Club’s annual February Quiz Night for this year. The quiz has been a feature of our season’s activities for many years now – in fact this year’s quiz will be, according to Club records, at least our 50th . The Club is hoping for good support again for this year’s event. See details below, also on the Club web and our social media accounts.

QUIZ NIGHT 2025

One of the Club’s annual fundraising and social events is being held on Friday 21st February 2025 at the Willclare Sports and Social Club, B26 2NX. This year, the Club has, even more so than usual, been mindful of the rising costs of ordering food and as such has been successful in establishing a deal with MAB caterers. This worked well at our Autumn quiz and the Race Night. To continue to ring the changes for our events, it has been decided to offer an Indo-Mex fusion supper to go with the quiz. Please study the food poster to see what is on offer. The caterers will provide a selection of both for members to dip in to. Any orders for the food must be placed by Monday 17th February at the latest so that the order can be placed in good time with the supplier.

Hopefully, The food will be available from 7.00p.m. and the quiz will commence after the food
at approx 7.30pm.

Ticket costs:
Adults eating and taking part in the quiz: £10 – U18s eating and in the quiz: £8
Adults attending the quiz only: £5 – Under 18s, quiz only: £3
To aid the fund raising there will also be a raffle. In previous years Club members have been
most generous in donating prizes for the raffle. It is hoped that prizes will be kindly donated
again this year. Please bring any donations on the night.

Please try to come along to support the Club. It’s a good night out for all. Don’t worry if you don’t think you have a team yet, come along anyway and you can easily join one on the night.  If you wish to order food, please let me know or inform your team captain. When you place your food order please state your preference for the meat or vegetarian version for the Tacos and the Nachos. It is important that all orders for food are received by 17th February. Even if you do not wish to eat, you could attend and hopefully enjoy the quiz only. All food orders need to be paid for as the Club is unable to absorb any ‘freebies!!’

Payment for tickets can, preferably, be made direct to the Club by Bank Transfer as usual – with the reference ‘Quiz Night’. However, cash payment can be made to me on the night of the event. It is important that I know your order and payment preference in good time.
